What is the nature of light and dark in the formation of matter? From that metaphysical question the bodies emerged. Images that often read as landscapes or bodies come into focus only upon reflection.

The Inspiration Collective is a group of women artists from the Seattle area who meet regularly to support and inspire one another while also discussing art related issues. We are working to foster creativity and promote a positive, supportive environment for female artists. Participants: Romy Brock, Della Campion, Neicy Frey, Marie C. Local artist Della Campion shows a new body of work entitled "Galatea". This twenty painting offering displays an evolution toward representation in the artist's work. Using both oil and acrylic mediums, the artist explores her own personal symbolism.

"Anti-Terrorism Handbook"

Organized by OK Hotel studio resident TAR ART RAT, artists were asked to create their own individual propaganda-style anti-terrorism handbooks.

Paul says: "Since first putting out the call to artists for this show a LOT has happened… Riots broke out, embassies burned and people died over a few cartoons… Hamas got voted in. The third anniversary of the invasion of Irag passed… Moussaoui stands trial as the only person charged for the Sept. 11 attacks (thus far)… And of course the continuing and dumbfounding Irag situation iself, so… it is a lot to try to wrap one's mind around. With this show I simply wanted to let artists put forth any ideas/ thoughts/ agendas/ solutions/ or lack thereof into a single project… enjoy. TAR ART RAT "curator" April 6, 2006.
